I feel this is related to independence by portraying mixed race relationships which are looked down upon in many communities therefore they are not following the "norm".

First off, I've been trying to work on some more critiques on photography to sort of expand on what I can do (adapting to the various styles and whatnot). Since this isn't really my style, it's a little hard for me to give you the best feedback on it, so have some patience with me!

The framing and focus is perfect for this situation--I can't tell you how many times I've seen what could have been a great piece of photography ruined by the position and focus of the subject, and even more so, the framing. I generally don't like detailed black in white photos (they're hard for me to look at since it's always easier to see details when you have color). Simple concept, tight frame (focusing just on the hands), and makes for a great photo in black and white.

The overall concept of the photo is great, and clearly portrayed. Sure, I like a good puzzle every now and then when it comes to interpreting artwork, but simplicity can be a wonderful thing. The overall composition of this piece is great, and I honestly can't give you anything I would change in this piece. Keep up the great work!
